On February 17, 2017, Mark Johnson and Michael Sprangers attended the 2017 Charles A. Goldmark Distinguished Service Award Luncheon. The Award is presented to exceptional individuals or organizations that have assisted in providing deep and meaningful access to the justice system for low-income children, individuals, and families. This year Lucy Lee Helm and Paula Boggs were the Award recipients.Johnson Flora Sprangers PLLC was one of four presenting sponsor for the luncheon. The presenting sponsors each donated $10,000 to the event and enable the attendees (traditionally over 600 attorneys, judges, and community leaders) to attend the luncheon for free. The luncheon itself is one of the largest fundraisers for civil legal aid in the state, this year raising approximately $200,000. Johnson Flora Sprangers PLLC (formerly, Johnson Flora PLLC) has been a presenting sponsor since the presenting sponsorship was established in 2015.
